China Prefabricated Video Housing Finished Products
China's prefabricated housing finished products mainly fall into two categories: modular buildings and expandable container houses, characterized by high efficiency, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.

Modular Buildings: Efficient Integration of Factory Prefabrication and On-Site Assembly
Modular buildings are constructed by breaking down the structure into independent modules, which are then fabricated, fitted out, and equipped with utilities in a factory before being transported to the construction site for assembly. This approach significantly shortens the construction cycle. For example, a British client's purchase of 63 modular elderly care apartments took only two weeks from shipment to completion of the lifting and installation process. In a public housing project in Shenzhen, Guangdong, the use of 6,028 concrete modules reduced the project completion time from the traditional 2.5-3 years to just one year, while also reducing on-site labor by approximately 50%. The advantages of modular buildings lie in standardized production and rapid assembly, making them particularly suitable for high-rise buildings or large-scale projects. Factory-based manufacturing ensures quality consistency and minimizes the environmental impact of on-site construction.
Expandable Container Houses: A Flexible Solution for Low-Cost and Rapid Delivery
Expandable container houses are a type of prefabricated building that uses containers as the base structure. After the main structure and interior finishes are completed in a factory, they are transported to the site and mechanically expanded or assembled to form complete houses. Their core advantages are low cost and extremely short construction time. For instance, a 70-square-meter house purchased by an American couple cost only $15,800 for the structure, with total costs (including shipping and taxes) amounting to less than RMB 200,000. The entire process from production to delivery took approximately two months (including one month for shipping). These houses are typically delivered fully furnished, equipped with bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and air conditioning units, meeting basic living needs. They are suitable for temporary housing, vacation villas, or low-cost residential projects.
Application Scenarios and Adaptability
Modular buildings, with their high structural strength and ability to be stacked in multiple layers, are more suitable for high-rise residential buildings, commercial complexes, or public facilities. Expandable container houses, on the other hand, offer unique advantages in post-disaster reconstruction, tourist attractions, or remote areas due to their lightweight and portability. Both types of housing demonstrate China's prefabricated housing industry's technological accumulation in industrialized production and customized services, providing diverse solutions for global clients.
