Chile Container Camp House
Chile's container camp houses are primarily based on modular double-wing expandable containers, featuring flexible space conversion, diverse functions, and efficient transportation, suitable for various scenarios such as residential, storage, and campsites.

1. Flexible Space Conversion, Balancing Transportation and Usage Efficiency
The 20-foot double-wing expandable containers used in the Chilean project are the core design, with the key feature of convertibility between transportation and usage states. During transportation, the wings on both sides are retracted, reducing volume and facilitating loading into 40-foot shipping containers (only two 40-foot containers are needed to transport four sets of products), thereby lowering international transportation costs. Upon arrival at the site, the wings are extended, creating approximately 36 square meters of indoor usable area, significantly expanding the actual usable space. This design balances transportation efficiency with usage requirements, making it particularly suitable for overseas projects.
2. Diverse Functions, Meeting Different Scenario Needs
The double-wing expandable containers can achieve various functions such as residential, storage, office, and campsite through customized internal space:
- Residential Function: Two expandable containers are designed as residences, with internal layouts planned as two bedrooms, one living room, one kitchen, and one bathroom. Prefabricated with room layouts, water and electricity pipelines, and door and window positions in mind, they can quickly form a complete living space with simple connections after expansion, suitable for both temporary and long-term living needs.
- Storage Function: The other two expandable containers are used as storage spaces, with simplified partitions inside to maximize the effective usable area and meet cargo storage needs.
- Other Scenarios: The modular structure can also be adapted for office and project campsite scenarios, achieving functional conversion by adjusting the internal layout.
3. Combination of Modularity and Standardization, Adapting to Overseas Project Needs
The double-wing expandable containers adopt a standardized container structure but allow for customized internal space design, ensuring both production efficiency and meeting the differentiated needs of different customers. For example, in the Chilean project, the same batch of products achieved both residential and storage functions through different internal layouts, demonstrating the flexibility of modular construction in overseas projects. Additionally, standardized design facilitates cross-border transportation and compliance, meeting overseas customers' requirements for recyclability, low-carbon attributes, and cross-border qualifications.
