Chengxi District has implemented various measures regarding mobile toilets, including smart public toilet construction, large-scale event support, and related service providers.
Smart Public Toilet Construction: Chengxi District in Xining City has built five smart public toilets, located at Jiaotong South Lane, Yanhu Lane, Haihu Square Juyuan Road, Baishatan Park, and the entrance of the morning market at the intersection of Wusi West Road and Shengchang Road. Among them, the toilet in Yanhu Lane is temporarily out of service due to construction, while the toilet in Jiaotong South Lane operates 24 hours a day, with the remaining toilets set to follow suit for full 24-hour availability. These smart public toilets employ high-purity foam deodorization technology, effectively addressing the persistent odor issues of traditional public toilets and providing citizens with a fresher restroom environment. Additionally, the toilets are equipped with intelligent automatic cleaning robots that perform cleaning tasks autonomously, reducing the workload of manual cleaning staff and improving cleaning efficiency. Furthermore, usage status indicators are installed to inform citizens of toilet availability, minimizing unnecessary waiting. In terms of facilities, the toilets provide free toilet paper, integrated handwashing stations with automatic soap dispensers, offering convenient hygiene services. Adjacent to the toilets, there are service stations equipped with air conditioning, power banks, water dispensers, etc., further enhancing the citizens' restroom experience.
Large-Scale Event Support: During large-scale events, Chengxi District also takes proactive measures to ensure the normal operation of mobile toilets. For example, during the "Super Live Concert" held at the Qinghai Sports Center Stadium on August 23, 2025, the Chengxi District Urban Management Bureau, in collaboration with the sports center, conducted comprehensive maintenance and cleaning of all restrooms within the venue in advance, ensuring the normal operation of 34 fixed restrooms inside the stadium and 10 public toilets in the surrounding area. Simultaneously, they coordinated with the event organizer to add 64 mobile toilets in the inner field area and arranged for 78 cleaning and inspection personnel to maintain restroom hygiene, effectively alleviating the restroom shortage during the event.
