Chengdu's ecological mobile public toilets come in various types and features, meeting the needs of different scenarios.

In terms of types, there are environmentally friendly ecological toilets adopted in Chengdu Shuangliu. These toilets have dimensions of 9.3 meters in length and 5.8 meters in width, with a reasonable layout that includes a lobby, a management room, a third toilet, three squatting positions and two urinals in the men's toilet, and five squatting positions in the women's toilet. They are made of aluminum-plastic panels. There are also ecological public toilets based on solid-liquid separation technology. The toilet bodies are constructed with a steel-frame cement composite structure, offering excellent thermal insulation and a service life of over 20 years, making them suitable for scenic spots, high-altitude and water-scarce areas, and public places.

In terms of technical features, environmentally friendly mobile toilets employ various eco-friendly technologies to achieve water conservation and resource recycling. The waterless flushing type can operate without connecting to water supply and drainage pipes, while the water-flushing type requires connection to water supply and drainage pipes and uses technologies such as rainwater collection and filtration systems and secondary flushing with hand-washing water to save water. Some products are equipped with intelligent systems, such as a bottom-level PLC data acquisition system, a 40-inch LED toilet stall monitor, and a 4G remote monitoring module, supporting remote control of lighting and flushing systems via a mobile app. Ecological public toilets are based on solid-liquid separation technology and achieve harmless treatment of excrement through microbial decomposition. During initial operation, they require a one-time injection of 70 - 80 kilograms of water to maintain microbial activity, and subsequently offer features such as water conservation, mobility, and waterless flushing. Some models are equipped with intelligent temperature control systems that can operate at temperatures exceeding 60℃, providing both sterilization and disinfection functions. Modern technology decomposes feces into carbon dioxide, water, and organic fertilizer through microbial communities and applies 5G and the Internet of Things for remote monitoring.

In terms of application scenarios, according to the "Regulations on the Management of Public Toilets in Chengdu," environmentally friendly mobile toilets should be set up to meet temporary needs during large-scale events. The carbon-neutral public toilets deployed in Chengdu in 2024 save over 3,000 tons of water annually. Their steel-frame structures can withstand temperatures as low as minus 28℃, and the current annual maintenance cost is 15,000 yuan, demonstrating their advantages in energy conservation and adaptability to harsh environments.
