Chengde Mobile Environmental Toilet Inspection

Admin October 07, 2026

The inspection of mobile environmental toilets in Chengde should focus on technical configuration, functional operation, environmental compliance, and supplier service aspects. Although there is no unified specific standard, it can be implemented by combining equipment characteristics with general inspection principles.

1. Technical Configuration and Basic Functional Inspection
The modular structure of mobile toilets is a key focus of inspection. It is necessary to confirm the weather resistance of the main materials (such as high-density polyethylene and stainless steel) to ensure no cracking or deformation in the environment with large temperature differences and frequent sandstorms in Chengde. Internal functional components should be tested one by one: the water pressure and continuity of the flushing device (for water-flush toilets); the closing stability of the door locks; the exhaust volume (usually ≥80m³/h) and noise control (≤55 decibels) of the ventilation fans; the illuminance (≥100 lux inside the toilet cubicle) and emergency lighting function of the lighting system. In addition, the sealing inspection of the wastewater and solid waste collection systems is crucial. It is necessary to check for leaks at the connections of the sewage pipes and the interfaces of the fecal storage tanks to avoid secondary pollution.

2. Targeted Inspection of Sewage Discharge Technologies
Depending on the sewage discharge method, the inspection indicators vary:

  • Water-flush toilets: It is necessary to test the water efficiency (single flush volume ≤6L) and the integrity of the anti-corrosion coating of the sewage storage tank.
  • Packing-type toilets: Check the sensitivity of the garbage bag replacement warning device to ensure that waste is sealed and packaged.
  • Foam-type toilets: Verify the stability of the foam generation system (foam coverage thickness ≥2cm) and the consumption of the foaming liquid.
  • Microbial decomposition toilets: It is necessary to entrust a professional institution to inspect the decomposition efficiency (such as an organic matter degradation rate ≥90%) and the activity of the microbial flora to prevent odor diffusion.

3. Environmental Compliance Inspection
Referring to the "Sanitary Standard for Urban Public Toilets" (GB/T 17217-2012), it is necessary to inspect the indoor air quality of the toilets (ammonia concentration ≤0.3mg/m³, hydrogen sulfide concentration ≤0.01mg/m³), the number of fecal coliforms (≤50 per liter), and the total residual chlorine content (≥0.5mg/L after disinfection in water-flush toilets). If the equipment is used in scenic spots or densely populated areas, it is also necessary to assess whether its wastewater discharge complies with the Class I pollutant limits in the "Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard" (GB 8978-1996).

4. Inspection Links in the Supplier Service Chain
During the commissioning phase by the leasing supplier, initial inspections should be completed: After transportation, check the tightening torque of the connecting bolts of the modular structure (for example, stainless steel bolts should reach 40-50N·m). After installation, test the effectiveness of the antifreeze (in winter, ensure that the water tank and pipes do not freeze at -20℃). During use, regularly sample and inspect the cleaning and disinfection records (such as at least 2 times of ultraviolet disinfection per day) and the frequency of waste removal (adjusted according to the usage volume to avoid overflow).

5. Inspection Qualifications and Personnel Requirements
Although there is no specific inspection certification for mobile toilets, the general principles of non-road mobile machinery inspection can be referred to: The inspection agency should have CMA qualifications, and the equipment (such as gas detectors and noise meters) should pass metrological verification. Inspection personnel should master the "Standard for the Layout of Environmental Sanitation Facilities" (CJJ 27-2012) and the equipment operation manuals to ensure that the inspection process is standardized.
