Chemical Barrel Transformed into Mobile Toilet

Admin September 27, 2026

Chemical barrels can be transformed into mobile toilets, and the specific transformation steps are as follows:

Prepare materials and tools

Two large chemical barrels are required as the basic main body for the transformation. At the same time, a cutting machine is needed for cutting the barrel body, screws and rectangular iron sheets for fixing the barrel body, PVC pipes for pipeline installation, and sealant to ensure the tightness of pipeline connections. In addition, sanitary facilities and accessories such as toilets, toilet tanks, washbasins, hinges, wooden doors, and handles are also required.

Process the chemical barrels

First, remove the steel bars on top of the chemical barrels to facilitate subsequent cutting operations. Then, use the cutting machine to cut off the upper lids of both plastic barrels. Next, place the two plastic barrels upside down together and fix the upper and lower iron frames to enhance the stability of the barrel body. Cut out the size of a door frame on one side and also make corresponding cuts on the inner plastic barrel to reserve space for door installation.

Fix and install pipelines

Use rectangular iron sheets and screws to fix the gaps between the two plastic barrels to prevent barrel body shaking. Drill holes at the corners of the plastic barrels, install PVC pipes, apply sealant to ensure that the pipeline connections do not leak, and cut off the excess PVC pipes to make the pipeline installation neat.

Install sanitary facilities

Place the toilet on top of the barrel body, install the toilet tank, apply glue for fixation, and connect and install the water inlet pipe to ensure the normal use of the toilet. Install a washbasin for the convenience of users to wash their hands. You can also use PVC pipes to make a showerhead and connect and install it with water pipes to increase the functionality of the mobile toilet.

Install the door

Install two wooden doors using hinges and install handles on the doors for easy opening and closing.

Complete and test

Extend and connect the water inlet pipe and push the mobile toilet to the desired location. Lay some water pipes flat at the bottom of the plastic barrels to facilitate drainage during bathing. Connect the drainage outlet with a water pipe and connect it to the septic tank. Finally, test each function to ensure that the toilet flushing, washbasin drainage, shower, and other functions work properly.
