Mobile Toilets on Chaozhou Binjiang Corridor

Admin October 02, 2026

The situation of mobile toilets on Chaozhou Binjiang Corridor varies according to different scenarios and needs, mainly including newly added temporary public toilets, mobile toilets before renovation, and portable toilets set up during large-scale events.

Regarding newly added temporary public toilets: During the May Day holiday, to enhance the tourism experience of citizens and tourists, the Municipal Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau set up multiple temporary public toilets on Tianshui Road (part of the Binjiang Corridor) in the urban area. There are a total of 3 groups of these newly added temporary public toilets, with each group having 4 toilet stalls and equipped with buckets and ladles for convenient flushing. In terms of location selection, priority was given to tourist-dense areas and the waiting areas on both sides of the entrances and exits of Guangji Tower to meet tourists' emergency toilet needs. In addition, each temporary public toilet has a dedicated cleaning staff member stationed on-site for regular cleaning to ensure good sanitary conditions.

Regarding the situation of mobile toilets before renovation: The original site of the public toilets located outside the bamboo and wood gates of the Binjiang Corridor used to have several mobile toilets. However, due to outdated facilities and poor environmental conditions, relevant departments began to demolish and redesign and renovate these toilets starting from October last year. This measure aims to improve the user experience and environmental sanitation of the toilets, providing citizens and tourists with a more comfortable and convenient toilet environment.

Regarding the setup of mobile toilets during large-scale events: During large-scale events, such as the Lantern Festival night on February 5th, when the 2023 Chaozhou Lantern Festival Fireworks Show was spectacularly staged on the Han River waters, to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the event, the Municipal Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau set up 64 portable toilets at intervals of 100 - 200 meters along the Binjiang Corridor and its surrounding areas. The setup of these portable toilets effectively solved the toilet problems of citizens during the event and provided strong guarantees for the smooth progress of the event.
