Chaoyang Scenic Area Mobile Toilet Planning

Admin September 28, 2026

The planning of mobile toilets in Chaoyang Scenic Area should comprehensively consider customized design, type selection, layout and location, functional configuration, environmental protection features, and cleaning and maintenance.

Customized design is the foundation of the planning and needs to be tailored according to the terrain of the scenic area, tourist traffic, and special requirements. For example, in mountainous scenic areas, the load-bearing and anti-slip performance of mobile toilets need to be considered, while in historical and cultural scenic areas, attention should be paid to the coordination between the appearance and architectural style to achieve a harmonious integration of functionality, aesthetics, and the environment.

Type selection should be determined based on the actual conditions of the scenic area. Single-unit mobile toilets have a compact structure and are suitable for areas with limited space, such as beside narrow footpaths. Trailer-mounted mobile toilets can be flexibly adjusted in position by vehicle traction and are suitable for temporary events or areas with dynamic changes in tourist flow. Assembled mobile toilets adopt a modular design and can be quickly set up or dismantled, making them suitable for temporary needs during seasonal tourist peaks or construction periods.

Layout and location should focus on the tourist flow lines. Priority should be given to setting up mobile toilets near entrance areas, rest stops, and popular attractions to ensure that tourists can find a toilet within a 10-minute walk. At the same time, they should avoid visually prominent areas such as lakesides and flower fields, adopting concealed designs or natural-colored facades to minimize damage to the landscape. During holidays, temporary units such as trailer-mounted toilets should be added to cope with the surge in tourist numbers.

Functional configuration should balance practicality and comfort. Standard configurations include squat/sit toilets, sinks, mirrors, ventilation systems, and lighting equipment. High-end models can be equipped with barrier-free facilities such as handrails, spacious spaces, and emergency call buttons to facilitate use by the elderly and disabled. Water-saving devices such as sensor-activated flush valves can reduce water consumption by more than 30%, making them suitable for scenic areas with scarce water resources.

Environmental protection features are a key focus of modern planning. Renewable materials such as bamboo and recycled plastics can reduce resource consumption. Circular water systems or waterless technologies such as biodegradable toilets can convert waste into harmless substances, reducing sewage discharge pressure. Solar power systems can meet lighting and ventilation needs, reducing carbon emissions.

Cleaning and maintenance require the establishment of a regular mechanism. They should be cleaned at least three times a day and disinfected once every hour during peak periods, with a focus on cleaning toilets, sinks, and floors. The integrity of the facilities should be checked weekly, and damaged door locks, flushing devices, etc., should be repaired promptly. A maintenance file should be established to record cleaning times, repair contents, and replacement of consumables to ensure that the toilets are always in a usable state.
