Chanhe District Mobile Toilets

Admin September 27, 2026

Chanhe District has achieved remarkable results in the construction of mobile toilets, enhancing public service levels through intelligent upgrades and quantity expansion.

In terms of smart public toilet construction, Chanhe District collaborated with Dongchao Holography (Luoyang) Technology Co., Ltd. to officially launch the first batch of smart public toilets on March 2. These toilets innovatively apply the 'interactive aerial imaging' technology, allowing users to complete a series of actions such as lid-lifting, seat-lifting, flushing, and pad replacement without touching physical equipment, simply through air-based operations. This technology not only avoids the hygiene risks associated with contact in traditional public toilets but also enhances user convenience through touchless interaction, particularly meeting the needs of public health and safety. Moreover, the launch of smart public toilets marks Chanhe District's transition towards intelligent and technological advancements in the public service sector, providing citizens and tourists with a more futuristic toilet experience.

Regarding the optimization of toilet quantity and distribution, the Environmental Sanitation Service Center of the Chanhe District Urban Management Bureau added five 24-hour open public toilets, bringing the total number of 24-hour open public toilets in the district to 21. These toilets are primarily located in high-traffic areas such as popular tourist attractions, shopping malls, and main and secondary roads, ensuring that the toilet needs of citizens and tourists are met promptly during peak hours. For example, toilets near tourist attractions employ a 'tidal toilet cubicle' dynamic adjustment mechanism to flexibly increase or decrease the number of cubicles based on real-time foot traffic, effectively alleviating queuing issues during holidays or tourist seasons.

In terms of service function upgrades, 24-hour open public toilets in Chanhe District generally offer convenient services such as shared power banks and free toilet paper, while some public toilets in key areas also feature maternity rooms and barrier-free facilities, reflecting a human-centered design philosophy. The introduction of shared power banks addresses the 'battery anxiety' of citizens and tourists when they are out, and free toilet paper reduces usage costs, enhancing the inclusiveness of public services. These detailed optimizations further enhance the practicality and comfort of public toilets.

Chanhe District has constructed a widely-covered and functionally-complete mobile toilet system through intelligent technology empowerment, quantity expansion, and service upgrades, not only improving urban public service capabilities but also providing a replicable model for other regions. In the future, with technological advancements and changing needs, Chanhe District may explore more intelligent management methods, such as real-time monitoring of toilet cubicle occupancy and automatic adjustment of air quality, to continuously optimize the toilet experience for citizens and tourists.
