Chang'an Street Mobile Toilet

Admin October 02, 2026

Chang'an Street mobile toilets come in various types and features, playing a crucial role in sanitation support during different events.

Chang'an Street once added mini mobile public toilets, located on the sidewalk at the T-junction beside Chang'an Street Experimental Middle School. These mini mobile public toilets cover an area of less than 7 square meters, with a compact and reasonable internal layout, featuring two restrooms and a management room. Each restroom is equipped with squatting toilets, lighting, and individual sinks, and is well-ventilated to effectively prevent odors, providing users with a relatively comfortable restroom environment.

During the National Day military parade for the 70th anniversary in 2019, Beijing Sanitation Group placed different types of mobile toilets along Chang'an Street. Trailer toilets were placed in open areas, likely having larger internal spaces and strong mobility, suitable for serving large numbers of people in open regions. Single-unit toilets were installed near relatively narrow alleys, with their compact and flexible nature enabling them to adapt to narrow spaces and meet the restroom needs of surrounding residents. Tent toilets were set up in areas with the highest foot traffic, facilitating use by large crowds. These mobile toilets not only have large internal spaces but also high turnover efficiency. More notably, they can adjust the number of male and female toilet stalls within minutes by removing signs and partitions according to the on-site male-to-female ratio of restroom users, greatly improving the usage efficiency and flexibility of the toilets.

In addition, Beijing Urban Mechanical Sweeping Service Co., Ltd. is responsible for sanitation support services in important areas such as Chang'an Street, with its main business covering mobile toilet services, providing strong support for the normal operation and maintenance of mobile toilets on Chang'an Street.

During the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War on September 3, 2025, the tent-style temporary toilets in the Tiananmen area underwent upgrades. After the renovation, barrier-free restrooms were added, facilitating use by special groups such as the disabled. At the same time, privacy protection and odor control levels were improved, further enhancing the restroom environment and reflecting meticulous care and humanized design for user needs.
