Water and Electricity Reservation in Cement Prefabricated Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

The water and electricity reservation in cement prefabricated houses requires comprehensive control from aspects such as design planning, material preparation, and construction key points to ensure accurate reserved positions, firmly installed pipelines, and compliance with specifications.

Design planning is the foundation of water and electricity reservation. It is necessary to organize technical personnel to verify the consistency between the water and electricity construction drawings and the architectural structural drawings, focusing on checking whether the reserved hole positions and pipeline routes conflict with the prefabricated components. It should be clarified that pipes with a diameter ≥ 50mm need to have sleeves reserved during the production of prefabricated walls. At the same time, a comprehensive pipeline layout drawing should be drawn to specify the horizontal spacing (not less than 300mm) and vertical distance (not less than 150mm) between strong current, weak current, water supply pipes, and drainage pipes. BIM modeling should be carried out for cross-construction parts to optimize pipeline routes and avoid setting pipelines in the core areas of concrete beams and columns.

Material preparation should strictly follow the specifications. The water supply network should use PP-R pipes (specifications DN20-DN50, S5 series, working pressure 1.6MPa); the drainage system should use UPVC pipes (specifications DN50-DN110, in line with GB/T 5836.1-2018); the strong current system should use copper core cables (specifications YJV-0.6/1kV, cross-sectional area 2.5-16mm²); the weak current system should use Category 6 network cables (specifications UTP Cat.6, bandwidth 250MHz, supporting 10Gbps). The quality of materials directly affects the safety and durability of the water and electricity systems.

Construction key points should be precisely implemented. Positioning should accurately mark the locations of lights, sockets, drainage pipes, etc. on the formwork and make marks with paint. After installing the wire boxes, they should be firmly fixed. When embedding pipelines, the circuit wire pipes should be fixed in the concrete to avoid displacement and cracking. For rural self-built houses, it is recommended to embed the pipelines in the beams. When embedding in the floor slab, they should be placed between the upper and lower layers of steel reinforcement meshes. The pipe diameter should not exceed 1/4 of the slab thickness. If it exceeds, additional steel reinforcement meshes should be added. Embedded pipelines should avoid three-dimensional cross-crossing. At the distribution points of multiple pipelines, they should be arranged in a radial pattern. The connections between pipe joints and wire boxes should be firmly fixed, and the pipeline openings should be sealed with tape to prevent blockage. At bends, junction boxes should be embedded, and small bends can be treated as arcs.

Some manufacturers, such as Jiangxi Jintai Prefabricated Construction Co., Ltd., provide one-stop services from preliminary plan planning and personalized size customization to factory prefabricated production and special vehicle delivery, which can further improve the accuracy and construction efficiency of water and electricity reservation.
