Cangnan Simple Container House
Admin September 15, 2026
Cangnan simple container houses generally refer to modular buildings with hot-dip galvanized cold-formed steel frames and sandwich panel walls. They are characterized by being detachable, reusable, and cost-effective, and are widely used in temporary construction sites and emergency housing scenarios.

I. Product Types and Structural Features
There are mainly two types of simple container houses in the Cangnan area:
- Packing-box container houses: These have frames made of hot-dip galvanized cold-formed steel and walls filled with fire-resistant polyurethane or rock wool sandwich panels, providing thermal insulation and fire resistance. These houses can be used independently or stacked in multiple layers, suitable for scenarios such as construction site dormitories, office areas, and temporary meeting rooms.
- Light steel keel houses: These use cold-formed thin-walled light steel keels as the load-bearing structure, with walls filled with glass wool or rock wool insulation materials. The appearance and layout can be flexibly customized, making them suitable for long-term use scenarios such as self-built houses, homestays, and supporting housing in scenic areas.
II. Material and Process Standards
- Structural materials: The frame steel is usually hot-dip galvanized cold-formed steel, which has excellent rust and corrosion resistance. The wall panels are mostly made of rock wool, glass wool, or polyurethane sandwich panels, and their combustion performance must meet Class A fire resistance standards.
- Production process: Standardized production lines complete processes such as steel structure welding, wall panel prefabrication, and pre-embedding of water and electricity pipelines. On-site assembly is carried out through modular splicing, reducing wet work and construction periods.
- Safety design: Doors, windows, and electrical systems need to be pre-installed with maintenance ports reserved. The floor uses cement fiber boards or steel-wood composite floors to ensure structural stability and safety during use.
III. Application Scenarios and Advantages
- Temporary construction sites: Used as dormitories, offices, and warehouses, they are easy to disassemble and assemble and can be reused, reducing the cost of repeated construction.
- Emergency housing: Quickly set up temporary shelters after earthquakes and disasters to meet basic living needs.
- Cultural and tourism support: Customized designs are used for homestays and scenic area service stations, balancing functionality and aesthetics.
IV. Safety Precautions
- Material compliance: Avoid using flammable sandwich materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam. Prioritize Class A fire-resistant materials such as rock wool panels and fire-resistant cotton.
- Electrical safety: Wires need to be protected with sleeves. Socket and switch boxes should be made of metal galvanized boxes and installed openly. Simple fire-fighting equipment should be equipped.
- Spacing requirements: Maintain a minimum safety distance of 6 meters between houses to prevent the spread of fire.
