Can Mobile Toilets and Household Registration Be Purchased?

Admin October 22, 2026

Neither mobile toilets nor household registration can be purchased.

Mobile Toilets Cannot Be Purchased

Mobile toilets are facilities designed to provide toilet services for the public and customers. They are typically installed in public places, event venues, construction sites, and other locations to meet people's temporary toilet needs. The management rights of mobile toilets are generally held by relevant government departments, event organizers, or site owners, aiming to ensure the hygiene and order of the public environment and provide convenience to the public. Individuals do not have the right to purchase mobile toilets, as this involves the allocation and management of public resources. If individuals were to purchase mobile toilets arbitrarily, it could lead to chaos in public resources and affect normal public order and hygiene conditions. Moreover, the installation, maintenance, and cleaning of mobile toilets require professional skills and equipment, and individuals may not be able to handle these issues properly after purchase, leading to a series of environmental and hygiene hazards.

Household Registration Cannot Be Purchased

Household registration is an important part of the national household registration management system. It records an individual's basic information, family relationships, and other details, and is closely related to an individual's social welfare, education, employment, and other aspects. According to the relevant provisions of the Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China and the Household Registration Regulations of the People's Republic of China, buying and selling household registration is illegal. The registration and management of household registration have strict procedures and regulations, aiming to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of citizens and social fairness and justice. If household registration transactions were allowed, it would undermine social fairness and order, leading to a series of social problems, such as uneven distribution of educational resources and abuse of social welfare. At the same time, buying and selling household registration would also provide opportunities for lawbreakers, triggering fraudulent and corrupt activities. Therefore, the state strictly prohibits the buying and selling of household registration, and once discovered, relevant personnel will be punished according to law.
