Can Container Houses Be Shipped by Logistics?

Admin September 17, 2026

Container houses cannot be transported by regular logistics and require exclusive standardized delivery solutions. The specific transportation methods and reasons are as follows:

Domestic Order Transportation Methods
Domestic orders for container houses are typically delivered using flatbed trucks. Flatbed trucks are designed for transporting large items, with a flat body and strong load-bearing capacity, allowing them to directly deliver finished container houses to the designated site. This method avoids the multiple transfers caused by size limitations of regular logistics vehicles and reduces the risk of damage during transportation. For example, a standard-sized container house (such as a 20-foot or 40-foot unit) is much longer than the cargo compartment of a regular truck, making it impossible for regular logistics vehicles to load directly. However, flatbed trucks can adjust their body structure or use extension boards to achieve whole-unit transportation.

International Order Transportation Methods
International orders are shipped in the form of sea freight containers. Sea freight containers (i.e., shipping containers) are the standard units for international cargo transportation, with sizes, weights, and loading/unloading methods that comply with international standards. Container houses are loaded into sea freight containers for export, transported by container ships to the destination port, and then cleared through customs and delivered to the final destination by local logistics companies. This method not only ensures the safety of long-distance transportation but also simplifies the cross-border logistics process. For example, a 40-foot high-cube container can accommodate multiple stacked container house modules, enabling efficient intercontinental transportation by sea.

Core Reasons for Not Using Regular Logistics

  1. Excessive Size and Weight: The length, width, and height of container houses typically far exceed the loading standards of regular logistics vehicles, and a single house can weigh several tons, making it impossible for regular logistics vehicles to carry.
  2. Need for Specialized Loading/Unloading Equipment: Loading and unloading container houses require heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts, which are lacking at regular logistics outlets and cannot be operated.
  3. Compliance with Transportation Regulations: Transporting large items requires permits for oversized transportation, route approvals, and other procedures. Regular logistics companies usually do not have the relevant qualifications, while specialized logistics companies can provide "door-to-door" one-stop services, including handling procedures and route planning.

Therefore, the transportation of container houses requires selecting specialized logistics companies with large-item transportation qualifications and using flatbed trucks or sea freight containers for delivery based on the order type (domestic or international) to ensure transportation efficiency and safety.
