Can Container Houses Be Equipped with Air Conditioners?
Container houses can be equipped with air conditioners. Both ordinary fixed residential containers and mobile container houses have the conditions for installing air conditioners. For ordinary fixed residential containers, installing household air conditioners can meet the needs. Mobile container houses usually reserve air conditioner power sockets and drainage pipe positions during design and manufacturing, providing great convenience for subsequent air conditioner installation. The air conditioner bracket can be welded on the top of the mobile container house. After the main unit is fixed, the indoor unit can be directly hung, and it can be used normally after being powered on.

In terms of model selection, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the spatial volume and environmental conditions. Split-type air conditioners are a universal choice. The length, width, and height of the container house determine the choice of air conditioner power. Generally, 1 horsepower of air conditioner is suitable for every 10 - 15 square meters. For an 18-square-meter room, a 1.5-horsepower air conditioner is recommended, and for a 20 - 30-square-meter room, a 2-horsepower air conditioner is suggested. If the floor height of the container house exceeds 3 meters, the horsepower of the air conditioner can be appropriately increased to ensure the cooling or heating effect. In high-temperature areas, due to the high ambient temperature, the air conditioner needs to bear a greater load, so it is recommended to increase the cooling capacity by 10% - 20% first. In low-temperature areas, models with low-temperature heating functions should be selected to meet the heating needs in winter. For coastal or high-humidity areas, humidity control is particularly important. It is recommended to choose models with an independent dehumidification capacity of ≥ 2L/h to effectively reduce indoor humidity.
The air conditioning systems in container houses include various types, mainly consisting of ceiling-mounted, vehicle-mounted, and wall-mounted types. Ceiling-mounted air conditioners are installed on the top and fixed to the container roof with steel cables, suitable for loading and unloading scenarios that require frequent movement. Vehicle-mounted air conditioners are specially designed for long-distance transportation and are integrated into the vehicle's power system. With a cooling capacity of 3 - 5 horsepower, they can meet the cooling needs of the vehicle during driving. Wall-mounted air conditioners are the most common choice, installed at a height of 1.8 - 2.2 meters from the ground, with the air outlet kept more than 1.5 meters away from the human body. This can not only ensure the cooling or heating effect but also avoid the air outlet blowing directly at the human body, improving the comfort of use.
