Camping Portable Toilet Equipment
Admin October 05, 2026
Camping portable toilet equipment mainly includes two types: Thetford portable toilets and Apple Pod toilets.

Thetford Portable Toilets
- Design Principle and Usage: Its design principle is consistent with that of toilets in RVs. When using, pour 100 milliliters of cleaning solution into the freshwater tank and then fill it with water. Pour 150 milliliters of deodorizing solution and a little water into the wastewater tank. It uses a push-button flushing method. After using the toilet, both solid and liquid waste will be degraded in the blackwater tank without producing any odors.
- Advantages: This portable toilet is easy to carry, suitable for individual or small group camping trips. It can meet the toilet needs during camping to a certain extent, and the lack of odors during use enhances the comfort of camping.
- Disadvantages: After camping, you need to find a sewer or toilet to empty the wastewater, and then clean the tank with fresh water, which is relatively cumbersome. Moreover, it is not small in size and will occupy a certain amount of trunk space, which is not very friendly to campers who carry a lot of items or have limited vehicle space.
Apple Pod Toilets
- Applicable Scenarios: They can be used in various places such as scenic area restrooms, campsites, and park camping bases, meeting the toilet needs of large-scale camping groups.
- Customization Features: Their appearance can be customized, and the layout can also be adjusted according to needs. For example, the Apple Pod toilet customized by Mr. Wang from Zhejiang has 8 squatting positions, all of which are independent single rooms. There are rainproof facilities in front, a public sink placed, and sliding windows. This customized design can be flexibly adjusted according to different camping sites and the number of users, improving the convenience and comfort of use.
- Advantages: They can provide a relatively independent and comfortable toilet environment and can meet the needs of multiple people using them simultaneously, suitable for large-scale camping activities or crowded camping sites.
- Disadvantages: Due to their large size, they require a certain amount of space for placement and installation, which is not very suitable for some small camping sites or camping areas with limited space.
