Beijing Recirculating Water Mobile Toilet

Admin October 02, 2026

The Beijing recirculating water mobile toilet is an environmentally friendly mobile toilet that adopts non-traditional water recirculation treatment paths, combines microbial degradation and physical filtration technologies, and is equipped with a clean energy supply system. Its core features and operational mechanisms are as follows:

1. Water Recirculation Treatment Technology
The water recirculation system of the Beijing recirculating water mobile toilet is divided into two technical paths:

  • Anaerobic Reaction + Ceramic Membrane Filtration Path: Flush toilet wastewater first enters a sealed anaerobic reaction chamber, where specific microbial communities decompose organic matter under anaerobic conditions, converting solids into biogas and a small amount of sludge. The liquid then enters a ceramic membrane filtration unit, where a membrane layer with a pore size of less than 0.1 microns can retain residual bacteria and suspended solids. The effluent water quality meets urban miscellaneous water standards and is directly used for the next flush, forming a single-point closed loop.
  • Solid-Liquid Separation + Biofilm Reaction Path: Some toilets use solid-liquid separation devices, with the liquid portion entering a multi-layer biofilm reactor. Under continuous aeration conditions, microorganisms decompose organic matter through metabolic processes into carbon dioxide, water, and nitrogen gas. After 3 to 5 hours of treatment, the water quality meets standards and is reused for flushing. This path combines biological degradation with physical separation to ensure rapid water purification.

2. Clean Energy Supply System
The toilet integrates flexible photovoltaic films and vertical-axis micro-wind generators on its roof to achieve energy self-sufficiency:

  • Photovoltaic Power Generation: Flexible photovoltaic films can still achieve an 18% power generation efficiency under scattered light conditions, meeting daily electricity demands.
  • Wind Power Generation: Vertical-axis micro-wind generators can start up at a wind speed of 2 meters per second, complementing the photovoltaic system.
  • Energy Storage and Temperature Regulation: Electricity is prioritized for storage in lithium iron phosphate battery packs, supplying nighttime lighting, sensors, and water pumps. Excess electricity is used to heat and insulate the water tank, preventing the water recirculation system from freezing in winter and ensuring year-round stable operation of the equipment.

3. Environmental Protection and Resource Conservation Advantages
This toilet reduces the water consumption per flush to less than one-tenth of that of traditional toilets through water recirculation technology and does not require an external sewage discharge pipeline, making it suitable for water-scarce areas or temporary event scenarios. The clean energy system reduces reliance on the municipal power grid and lowers carbon emissions. The microbial degradation process does not involve the addition of chemical agents, avoiding secondary pollution and aligning with the concepts of green buildings and sustainable development.
