Beijing Mobile Smart Toilet Standard
The Beijing Mobile Smart Toilet Standard must adhere to domestic relevant regulations and embody specialized smart requirements, covering three core dimensions: basic design, smart functions, and data security.

I. Basic Design Specifications Beijing Mobile Smart Toilets must strictly comply with national standards such as the "Urban Public Toilet Design Standard" (CJJ14-2016) to ensure hardware facilities meet the required standards. Specific aspects include:
- Spatial Layout: Rationally plan the number of toilet stalls, dynamically adjust the ratio of male to female stalls based on foot traffic (e.g., ensuring that female stalls account for no less than 60%), and provide barrier-free dedicated stalls and access routes to meet the needs of special groups.
- Environmental Conditions: Optimize the ventilation system (e.g., combining natural ventilation with mechanical exhaust) to ensure air circulation; use natural lighting or high-efficiency energy-saving lighting fixtures, with illuminance meeting standards; the water supply and drainage system must be leak-proof, easy to maintain, and equipped with water-saving appliances.
- Sanitary Facilities: Equip with touchless devices such as sensor-activated faucets, automatic flushing mechanisms, and hand dryers to reduce the risk of cross-infection; install emergency call buttons inside stalls to ensure user safety.
II. Specialized Smart Requirements According to the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Beijing's "Smart Public Toilet Construction Guidelines", smart functions must cover the following dimensions:
- Information Sensing: Use sensors to monitor real-time data such as foot traffic, air quality (e.g., ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations), temperature and humidity, and water levels, providing a basis for management.
- Smart Control: Automatically adjust the operating status of ventilation, deodorization, lighting, and other equipment based on environmental data; for example, when ammonia concentration exceeds standards, activate the fresh air system and spray deodorants.
- Platform Management: Establish a cloud-based management platform that integrates equipment monitoring, energy consumption statistics, fault alarms, and other functions, supporting remote operation and maintenance; simultaneously, provide stall navigation, usage evaluations, and other services to the public through apps or mini-programs.
- User Experience: Set up electronic displays to show stall occupancy, environmental indicators, and warm reminders; some toilets are also equipped with charging ports, shared umbrellas, and other convenience facilities.
III. Data Security and Privacy Protection Smart toilets involve the collection of user behavior data and must strictly comply with the "Personal Information Protection Law" and the "Data Security Law":
- Data Anonymization: Anonymize data such as facial recognition and foot traffic statistics to avoid direct association with personal identities.
- Access Control: Clearly define data access permissions, allowing only authorized personnel to view raw data; the platform must pass security certification to prevent data leaks.
- Compliance Auditing: Regularly conduct data security checks to ensure full compliance with regulations throughout the data collection, storage, and transmission processes.
