Beijing Event Portable Toilets

Admin September 23, 2026

Beijing event portable toilets are important facilities to ensure public hygiene needs in large-scale outdoor urban events.

Configuration Features

The configuration of Beijing event portable toilets is not simply about increasing the quantity but is based on quantitative analysis of people's excretion behaviors and spatial movement patterns. Two key variables, namely the 'peak demand periods' and the 'heatmap of pedestrian flow', are taken into primary consideration. The usage rate of portable toilets peaks 2 to 3 hours after the start of an event and 1 hour before its end. The deployment of portable toilets is aligned with these two peaks on the timeline according to the event schedule. In terms of spatial layout, a 'heat density map' is drawn by analyzing people's stopping points. In areas with high heat density (such as in front of the stage, dining areas, and entrances/exits), the spacing between toilets is shortened to within 50 meters, while in areas with sparse pedestrian flow, the spacing can be expanded to 200 meters. Additionally, a 'tidal scheduling' approach can be adopted.

Hygiene Assurance

It relies on the synergy of three aspects: cleaning frequency, waste treatment, and environmental control. Each portable toilet is equipped with a liquid level sensor inside. When the collection tank reaches 80% of its capacity, the system automatically sends a signal to the dispatch platform, and a sewage suction truck is arranged to arrive within 15 minutes. The cleaning process follows the principle of 'cleaning after each use'. After a user leaves, an automatic spraying system covers the surface of the toilet bowl with a disinfectant mist, and the exhaust fan continues to operate to reduce ammonia concentration. The waste treatment system is a closed loop. The excreta collected by the sewage suction trucks first enters a mobile solid-liquid separation device. The solids are dehydrated and compressed and then sent to a treatment plant as raw materials for organic fertilizer. The liquids are biochemically treated to meet the standards for reclaimed water, which is used for surrounding greening irrigation or road dust suppression. The conversion rate of waste from a single event is increased to over 90%. In terms of environmental control, in summer, fans driven by photovoltaic panels and sunshades are installed on the roof of the toilets to keep the internal temperature 5 to 8 degrees Celsius lower than the outside. In winter, an antifreeze circulation system is used to prevent the water tank from freezing. Buffer curtains and anti-mosquito screens are set at the entrance of the toilets to reduce the entry of insects carrying pathogens.

Pricing Information

The prices of Beijing event portable toilets vary greatly depending on their types and configurations. For example, the portable toilets from Beijing Jindongfang Environmental Landscape Engineering Co., Ltd. range in price from 760.0 yuan to 27,000.0 yuan. In terms of rental prices, the rental price of ordinary portable toilets is 1,900.0 yuan, while the rental price of luxury portable toilets can reach 15,000.0 yuan.

Application Examples

In 2025, the organizers of the Beijing Marathon optimized the toilet facilities for runners. The number of toilet stalls in the starting area increased from 765 to 1,119, along the course from 121 to 169, and in the finishing area from 151 to 161, with a total of 1,449 toilet stalls.
