Installation of Environmental Protection Mobile Toilets in Beijing
The installation of environmental protection mobile toilets in Beijing should follow a scientific and standardized process, covering key steps such as foundation treatment, container body hoisting, sewage system construction, and waste resource utilization. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Foundation Treatment: Site Assessment and Recyclable Design
Before installation, a professional assessment of the site's bearing capacity is required. If the ground is soft (such as sandy soil or backfill), adjustable-height steel structural foundation piers should be used instead of traditional concrete pouring. These foundation piers are bolted to the ground, and their height can be adjusted according to the terrain to ensure the horizontal stability of the container body. After the project is completed, the foundation piers can be quickly pulled out and reused at other construction sites, avoiding the construction waste generated by concrete hardening and meeting environmental protection requirements.
2. Container Body Hoisting and Seal Test: Core Guarantee Against Leakage
After the container body is hoisted onto the foundation piers using lifting equipment, a seal test should be conducted immediately. The test method involves pressurizing the sewage pipeline system to 0.03-0.05 MPa and observing whether there are bubbles at the connections (such as the interfaces of the septic tank and the bends of the sewage pipes). If leakage is detected, the bolts should be tightened or the sealing rings should be replaced to ensure that sewage does not seep into the soil and prevent secondary pollution.
3. Sewage System Construction: Synergy of Biodegradation and Physical Separation
The three-compartment septic tank technology is adopted to achieve solid-liquid separation through the height difference of the baffles (usually 1:2:3) and the slope of the connecting pipes (≥5%). The first compartment is the fermentation zone, where specific bacteria (such as Bacillus subtilis) are introduced to accelerate the decomposition of organic matter; the second compartment is the sedimentation zone, which further separates suspended solids; the third compartment is the fecal storage zone, where the residual sludge volume is reduced by more than 60% compared to traditional septic tanks. During construction, the verticality of the baffles should be strictly calibrated to avoid short-circuiting.
4. Waste Treatment and Resource Utilization: Construction of a Closed-Loop Circulation System
After biological degradation, the remaining sludge of solid waste is dehydrated by a screw extruder, reducing its volume to one-fifth of the original. It can be regularly transported to municipal treatment stations. After multi-stage filtration (sand filtration + activated carbon filtration), the COD concentration of the wastewater is reduced to below 50 mg/L, meeting the water quality standards for dust suppression at construction sites. During construction, the inlet of the filtration device and the outlet of the toilet should be connected in a standardized manner using PVC pipes, and a flow meter should be installed to monitor the amount of recycled water.
The entire installation process should be carried out by certified technicians and accepted by the environmental protection department to ensure that all indicators meet the requirements of the "Technical Specifications for Mobile Toilets in Beijing" (DB11/T 190-2021).
