Beijing Concrete Prefabricated Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

Beijing has made relevant progress and applications in the field of concrete prefabricated houses, mainly reflected in two aspects: project practice and standard formulation.

In terms of project practice, on May 8, 2026, the first concrete module hoisting was completed for the affordable rental housing project in the Dinghuisi North Plot, Haidian District, Beijing. This project is the first concrete modular affordable housing project in Beijing and also the first concrete modular project in Haidian District. Concrete modular construction is a form of concrete prefabricated housing. By prefabricating concrete modules in factories and then transporting them to the construction site for hoisting and assembly, it can improve construction efficiency, ensure building quality, and help reduce noise, dust, and other pollution at the construction site, aligning with the development concept of green buildings. The implementation of this project marks a significant step forward for Beijing in the field of concrete prefabricated housing and provides valuable practical experience for the subsequent launch of similar projects.

In terms of standard formulation, to regulate the procurement of prefabricated concrete components for prefabricated buildings, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation formulated the 'Demonstration Text of the Purchase Contract for Prefabricated Concrete Components for Prefabricated Buildings in Beijing (Draft for Solicitation of Comments)' and publicly solicited opinions from April 2 to April 10, 2024. The demonstration text was officially released in May 2024. This demonstration text is applicable for reference by parties within the administrative region of Beijing when signing procurement contracts for prefabricated concrete components for prefabricated buildings. The formulation of standards helps clarify the rights and obligations of all parties involved in the procurement process of prefabricated concrete components, ensures the fairness and legality of contracts, and promotes the healthy development of the concrete prefabricated housing industry. By unifying contract texts, it can improve transaction efficiency, reduce disputes arising from unclear contract terms, and provide strong institutional guarantees for the large-scale promotion and application of concrete prefabricated houses.
