Bayan Container House Installation

Admin September 15, 2026

The installation of container houses in the Bayan area requires comprehensive consideration of design, transportation, installation, and acceptance inspection. The specific process and key points are as follows:

I. Pre-installation Preparations

  1. Design Planning
Determine the type of container house (such as standard containers, foldable containers, or modular combined containers) based on usage requirements, and clarify functional divisions (such as dormitories, offices, and restrooms). For example, the construction project of the management and protection station in the Inner Mongolia Daqingshan National Nature Reserve purchased 14 containers for the station's construction, and the layout needed to be designed according to the terrain and functional requirements.

    1. Material and Equipment Preparations
Ensure the quality of the main structure of the container (such as steel container bodies and light steel frames) and supporting facilities (such as water and electricity pipelines, doors and windows, and rock wool sandwich panels) is qualified. Prepare special lifting equipment (cranes, forklifts), installation tools (spirit levels, plumb bobs), and construction materials (bolts, self-tapping screws).
    2. Site Conditions
Clear the construction site to ensure the ground is level and the bearing capacity meets the requirements (such as a single-container load capacity of 2500 kg - 5000 kg). Set up warning signs and delineate safe working areas.

II. Installation Process

  1. Foundation Construction
Check the foundation dimensions against the design drawings to ensure the accurate installation position of the container. For example, for modular container houses, the diagonal difference of the bottom frame should be controlled to be ≤ 3 mm to ensure structural stability.

    1. Main Body Lifting and Connection
Use a crane to lift the container to the designated position, connect the container corners to the bottom beams with hexagon socket bolts, adjust the verticality, and then tighten them. When stacking multiple containers, focus on controlling the verticality and use earthquake-resistant and anti-loosening node connections.
    2. Interior Decoration and Supporting Installations
Lay the floor base plates (such as magnesium oxide boards), install and fix π-shaped secondary beams, splice the floor panels, and then fix them with nails. Install water and electricity pipelines, doors and windows, and rock wool sandwich panel enclosure structures to ensure airtightness and fire resistance. For example, a container office may require the combination of multiple containers to form a double-story modular structure.
    3. Acceptance Inspection and Commissioning
Check the appearance of the container, structural connections, and water and electricity systems to ensure there are no water leaks or loose parts. Conduct functional tests (such as door and window opening and closing, and water and electricity on/off) and deliver the container for use after it meets the standards.

III. Precautions

  1. Safety Regulations
Lifting operations should be carried out by professionals, and non-staff members should stay away from the work area. When installing foldable containers, support rods should be placed to keep them stable and prevent tipping.
    1. Quality Control
Strictly screen material suppliers, and incoming materials should pass acceptance inspections. During construction, follow standards such as the "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Steel Structures" (GB50205-2020), with a focus on monitoring node connections and waterproofing works.
    2. Environmental Protection and Compliance
Container houses should meet requirements such as seismic fortification intensity (such as 7 degrees) and fire resistance rating (Class II), and are suitable for temporary buildings or housing pilot projects for low-income groups.
