Barrier-Free Mobile Toilet Installation
Admin September 27, 2026
The installation of barrier-free mobile toilets should follow standardized procedures to ensure that the equipment is stable, functions properly, and meets barrier-free usage requirements. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Demand Assessment Before Rental
- Usage Scenario Analysis: Determine the number and type of toilets (such as single units or connected units) based on the area of the event venue, the number of attendees, and the duration of the event. For example, a small event with less than 50 people requires 2-3 toilet stalls, while an event with more than 200 people requires 10-15 stalls.
- Clarification of Barrier-Free Standards: According to the 'Barrier-Free Design Code', facilities such as wheelchair ramps (with a slope of ≤1:12), handrails (with a height of 850mm ± 20mm), and emergency call buttons (with a response time of ≤30 seconds) should be equipped.
- Budget Estimation: Calculate the comprehensive costs, including equipment rental fees, transportation fees, installation fees, and post-maintenance costs, to avoid overspending.
2. On-Site Survey and Positioning
- Location Selection: Engineers need to conduct on-site evaluations to ensure that the equipment is placed away from pollution sources (such as garbage dumping areas), is easily accessible for transportation (with a road width of ≥3 meters), and allows for convenient maintenance (with a reserved operating space of 0.5 meters).
- Water and Electricity Planning: Design the layout of water supply and drainage pipes based on the site conditions, giving priority to connecting to the municipal water and sewage network. If connection is not possible, a sewage collection tank (with a capacity of ≥500L) should be provided. The lighting system should use waterproof fixtures (with an IP65 rating), and the ventilation system should have a air volume of ≥100m³/h.
3. Rapid Installation Process
- Foundation Fixation: For outdoor venues, use concrete pouring (with a thickness of ≥15cm) or counterweight blocks (with a weight of ≥500kg per toilet stall) to fix the equipment and prevent tipping. For indoor venues, expansion bolts can be used for fixation.
- Water and Electricity Connection: When connecting water supply and drainage pipes, install anti-odor floor drains (with a water seal depth of ≥50mm). The electrical circuit should adopt a three-phase five-wire system, and all sockets should be equipped with waterproof covers (with a protection rating of IP44).
- Function Debugging: Test the flushing system (with a pressure of ≥0.15MPa), door locks (with an opening and closing force of ≤50N), handrail load-bearing capacity (≥250kg), etc., to ensure that the barrier-free facilities meet the standards.
4. Installation Cycle and Delivery Inspection
- Cycle Control: For small venues (with less than 50 people), the installation can be completed in about 2-3 hours. For large venues (with more than 200 people), it takes half a day to one day.
- Comprehensive Inspection Standards: Before delivery, check the anti-slip property of the ramps (with a friction coefficient of ≥0.6), the height deviation of the handrails (≤±20mm), the emergency call response speed (≤30 seconds), the toilet sealability (no leakage), and the backup power endurance (≥8 hours).
Precautions: The equipment should be placed horizontally, and the sewage pipes should be connected to the municipal sewage network or designated collection points. The entrances of the men's and women's toilet stalls should not face the event stage directly, with a spacing of ≥1.5 meters, and clear signage should be provided.
