Baotou Mobile Container House

Admin September 14, 2026

The Baotou mobile container house is a building unit with residential functions that can be repeatedly disassembled and assembled. It is based on container modules and formed through secondary design and system integration. The following is an introduction from multiple aspects:

Design and Manufacturing Innovation: Container house companies in Baotou campsites redefine temporary building standards from three dimensions: structural mechanics, material thermal engineering, and assembly processes. Taking Baotou Xinxing Color Plate Steel Structure Manufacturing Co., Ltd. as an example, to address the issue of insufficient floor stiffness caused by the large spacing between the longitudinal beams of the traditional container's bottom frame, C-shaped steel purlins are installed between the bottom beams to distribute the load, enabling the container body to remain structurally stable even when stacked three layers high. After shot blasting and rust removal, the container body surface is coated with a zinc-rich primer and a polyurethane topcoat. This protective system allows the steel to maintain an effective service life of over 15 years in the windy and sandy environment with large temperature differences in northwest China.

Outstanding Environmental Performance: The core value of container houses lies in the full life-cycle recycling of materials. Each standard 20-foot container consumes about 1.2 tons of steel, while the carbon emissions of a one-time poured concrete temporary house of the same area are 2.3 times higher. When the campsite is relocated or the project is completed, the container house can be hoisted as a whole to a new site, with a disassembly and assembly loss rate controlled within 5%, significantly reducing construction waste compared to traditional prefabricated panel houses.

Functional Innovation and Optimization: In terms of thermal insulation, a broken-bridge lining structure is adopted. Hard polyurethane foam is filled between the steel frame and the inner wall panels, and rubber thermal insulation pads are installed, reducing the heat exchange efficiency between the inside and outside of the container by about 40%. In winter without heating, the indoor temperature can be 8 to 10 degrees Celsius higher than the outside. In addition, it integrates a self-circulating sewage system. For wild campsites, sewage collection tanks and gravity separators are installed at the bottom of the container. The gray water can be treated and reused for vegetation irrigation, and the black water can be converted into liquid fertilizer through anaerobic fermentation. The water self-sufficiency rate of a single campsite container house is relatively high.
