Assembly Process of Portable Toilets
Admin October 22, 2026
The assembly process of portable toilets varies depending on the type, mainly divided into two types: simple homemade and modular assembly.

Simple Homemade Portable Toilets
- Base Construction: Use wooden boards as the base material and install universal wheels as the mobile support structure. The universal wheels should be evenly distributed at the four corners of the base to ensure balanced weight-bearing and mobility.
- Water Storage Tank/Bucket Handling: Place the cut water storage tank or bucket in the center of the base. Use an angle grinder to cut out the excreta inlets and outlets along the preset markings. After cutting, wrap and secure the cut edges with wooden boards to prevent sharp edges from injuring users and enhance structural stability.
- Height Adjustment and Top Installation: If the height of the water storage tank is insufficient, use lightweight materials such as aluminum-plastic panels to extend and increase the height, forming vertical space. Install a bucket lid on top as a closed structure, ensuring airtightness to prevent odor diffusion.
- Internal Facility Installation:
- Drainage System: Mark the drainage hole positions at the bottom, connect elbow drainage pipes, and install floor drains to ensure smooth excreta discharge.
- Toilet Installation: Place the toilet aligned with the drainage hole and secure it with sealant around the edges to prevent leakage.
- Shower Facility: Use PVC pipes to assemble a showerhead, connect water pipes, and install valve switches. Test water pressure and airtightness.
- Door and Decoration: Process wooden doors from wood and install them onto the door frame using hinges. Apply white paint to the wooden strips inside to adjust color differences and enhance aesthetics.
Modular Assembly Portable Toilets
- Module Preparation: The supplier provides numbered prefabricated components, including base plates, walls, roofs, door panels, and internal equipment modules. All modules are prefabricated in the factory using molds, with dimensions and interfaces adhering to unified tolerance standards.
- On-site Assembly: Modules are fixed together using pre-embedded metal connectors or clips, adopting a 'dry connection' method without the need for cement mortar or welding. The assembly process can transform from a flat-pack state to an independent functional unit within 30 minutes.
- Sewage System Configuration:
- Gravity Flow Sewage Disposal: Internal guide channels with a slope of 3 to 5 degrees are set up to separate feces and urine using gravity.
- Separate Sewage Storage Chambers: Urine flows into an independent liquid-sealed storage tank, while feces fall into a dry treatment box with biological bacterial bedding to reduce odor generation.
- Functional Module Combination: Configure sewage storage chambers with corresponding volumes based on the estimated number of users at the site, and extend service intervals and reduce maintenance frequency by adding microbial degradants.
- Environmental Adaptability Adjustment:
- Odor Control: Adopt a triple physical interception technology of 'airtight seals + activated carbon filters + negative pressure exhaust' to effectively suppress odor diffusion.
- Anti-freezing Design: When renting in winter, wrap self-regulating heating tapes around the outer walls of the sewage pipes to prevent liquid inside from freezing and causing blockages.
