Anning Residential Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

Anning residential container houses have advantages such as environmental protection, energy efficiency, flexible combination, and convenient disassembly and transportation, but attention must be paid to fire safety hazards and preventive measures should be taken.

Advantages and Characteristics

  • Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency: Residential container houses often use recyclable materials such as steel. After the building is demolished, most of the materials can be recycled and reused, reducing resource waste. At the same time, their good thermal insulation performance helps reduce energy consumption, aligning with the concept of green buildings.
  • Flexible Combination: They can be flexibly combined and arranged according to different needs. Whether used as single-person dormitories, multi-person offices, or small villas, they can be realized through simple splicing and modification to meet diverse usage scenarios.
  • Convenient Disassembly and Transportation: The overall structure adopts a modular design, and each component can be quickly disassembled and assembled. When relocation or site change is required, they can be easily transported and rebuilt, greatly saving time and cost.

Safety Hazards

  • Illegal Building Materials: Some temporary houses on construction sites and illegal buildings of some enterprises use flammable materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam for the core materials to save costs. These materials have poor fire resistance and safety, and can be ignited by electrical welding sparks and cigarette butts.
  • Fast Burning Speed: Once flammable and combustible sandwich materials catch fire, they burn very quickly. At 80℃, they will melt, deform, and drip, and the drips will cause more serious combustion, and the combustion products are highly toxic.
  • Difficult Fire Extinguishment: After a fire breaks out, the fire spreads extremely quickly, and it is easy to cause a collapse accident in a short time. The collapsed container houses are wrapped in iron sheets, making it difficult for firefighting water guns to shoot water inside, increasing the difficulty of fire rescue work.
  • Difficult Escape for Trapped People: Both polystyrene and polyurethane emit black smoke when burning, and toxic smoke gathers inside the room, making it difficult for trapped people to survive and prone to casualties.

Preventive Measures

  • Use Qualified Materials: It is best to use rock wool boards and fireproof cotton as fillers for production, reaching at least Class A fire resistance and fire endurance limits to meet fire safety conditions.
  • Standardize the Use of Heat and Fire Sources: During use, some heat and fire sources should not be placed close to the container houses, and a certain distance should be maintained for open-flame operations.
  • Strengthen Electrical Management: Wires and cables should be protected with sleeves, and socket and switch boxes should be made of metal galvanized boxes and installed in an exposed manner. Simple firefighting equipment should be equipped inside and outside.
  • Maintain a Safe Distance: There should be at least a 6-meter safe distance between container houses.
