Since 2021, 32 public toilets in the urban area of Anji County have built a "Smart Toilet Management System" that relies on Internet of Things technology to monitor data such as toilet occupancy, air quality, and equipment operation in real-time. Through this system, managers can promptly grasp the usage situation and equipment status of public toilets, facilitating maintenance and management. In the 2025 "Public Toilet Renovation Project", all renovated public toilets have been connected to the smart management platform, further expanding the monitoring functions to monitor toilet usage, air quality, and the number of squatting positions in real-time, ensuring the long-term operation and maintenance of public toilets and providing citizens with a more comfortable and convenient toilet environment.
High-Tech Benchmark Public Toilets
Anji has three "high-tech benchmark public toilets" equipped with vacuum suction systems that use negative pressure technology instead of traditional flushing, consuming only one-tenth of the water used by ordinary toilets, greatly saving water resources and reflecting environmental protection concepts. In addition, among the 36 newly built and renovated public toilets, 18 third toilets have been carefully built, and three public toilets have been accompanied by the construction of "Happiness Stations", further enriching the functions and service content of public toilets.
