Amsterdam Mobile Toilets
Amsterdam's mobile toilets come in various types, including self-service public toilets, innovative female lift-up urinals, and fully automated restrooms, each with unique features and innovative designs.

The self-service public toilet is a Dutch invention that employs a fully automated detection system. When the previous user's buttocks leave the toilet, sensors activate a water-spraying mode to quickly flush away ground debris, ensuring the cleanliness of the restroom. Simultaneously, the toilet rotates 180 degrees to enter a disinfection and sterilization mode, effectively killing bacteria and viruses, providing a safe and hygienic restroom environment for the next user. This design not only improves the cleaning efficiency of the restroom but also reduces the workload of manual cleaning.
The innovative female lift-up urinal is a convenient restroom option provided by Amsterdam for women, while also accommodating male needs. This facility made its debut in front of the Royal Palace on Dam Square in the city center. The female section features a closed design to ensure user privacy. During the day, this urinal retracts underground to 'rest', and rises to the ground level in the evening and at night for use, saving space and providing convenience for citizens. It is made of stainless steel, durable and resistant to vandalism. The female section can be flexibly closed, while the male section automatically flushes after every 6 uses, and the female section flushes immediately after each use, ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the restroom.
The fully automated restroom is another innovative design in Amsterdam. Its base price is 0.5 euros, with an additional charge of 0.2 euros per minute, amounting to approximately 100 yuan per hour. Although the price is relatively high, it is immediately cleaned after use and contains two toilets. After use, the toilet rotates 180 degrees as a whole, bringing a clean new toilet in front of the user, while the one just used enters the cleaning chamber for processing. This design not only improves the usage efficiency of the restroom but also ensures its continuous cleanliness and hygiene.
