All-Aluminum Container House Design Drawing

Admin September 17, 2026

Currently, specific design drawings for all-aluminum container houses cannot be provided directly, but their design key points and common structural forms can be introduced. As a new type of architectural form, all-aluminum container houses use aluminum alloy profiles as the framework and aluminum panels as the enclosure structure, offering advantages such as lightweight construction, corrosion resistance, and recyclability. Their design must balance structural safety, functional rationality, and modularity.

I. Core Design Principles

  1. Modularity and Standardization
All-aluminum container houses typically use standard container dimensions (e.g., 20 feet: 6058mm×2438mm×2591mm; 40 feet: 12192mm×2438mm×2591mm) as basic units, expanding space through horizontal or vertical splicing. Connection interfaces (such as bolt holes and corner fittings) must be reserved during design to ensure rapid assembly and disassembly between modules, adapting to temporary buildings or mobile scenarios.

  2. Structural Safety and Stability
The aluminum alloy framework must meet wind and earthquake resistance requirements. High-strength aluminum alloy profiles (such as 6061-T6 or 6063-T5) are typically used, forming truss structures through welding or bolting to enhance overall rigidity. Reinforcing ribs or sandwich structures (such as aluminum honeycomb panels) are set in walls and roofs to improve deformation resistance and prevent local instability caused by concentrated loads.

  3. Lightweight and Durability
Aluminum alloy has a density only one-third that of steel, significantly reducing the house's self-weight and minimizing foundation bearing pressure. During design, panel thickness (typically 1.5-3mm) and cross-sectional shapes must be optimized to balance strength and weight. Surface treatments such as anodizing or fluorocarbon spraying are required to enhance corrosion resistance and extend service life to over 20 years.

II. Common Structural Forms

  1. Single-Story Independent Type
Suitable for temporary office and storage scenarios. Based on a single container, functional areas (such as office and rest areas) are divided internally, with comfort enhanced by adding doors, windows, and ventilation systems. The roof can be designed as a flat or sloped top, with sloped roofs facilitating drainage and flat roofs allowing for the installation of solar panels.

  2. Multi-Story Combined Type
Space is expanded by vertically stacking containers, commonly used in residential scenarios such as dormitories and apartments. During design, the focus is on resolving vertical load transfer issues, typically by setting reinforcing columns at container corners and connecting floors via stairs or external corridors to ensure evacuation safety.

  3. Irregular Spliced Type
By cutting and welding container bodies, L-shaped, T-shaped, and other irregular layouts are formed to adapt to complex site requirements. For example, vertically splicing two containers into an 'L' shape can enclose a semi-open courtyard space, improving lighting and ventilation effects.

III. Design Considerations

  • Thermal Performance Optimization: Due to the high thermal conductivity of aluminum alloy, thermal insulation layers (such as rock wool or polyurethane) or thermal break aluminum structures must be added to reduce heat conduction and meet energy-saving requirements in different climatic zones.
  • Electrical and Pipeline Integration: Pipeline channels (such as under floors or in wall cavities) must be reserved during design to avoid structural damage from later trenching; the electrical system must comply with temporary building regulations, with leakage protection and grounding devices installed.
  • Disassembly and Maintenance: Connectors (such as bolts and corner fittings) must use standardized specifications for easy later maintenance or module replacement; wall and floor materials are recommended to use detachable扣板 (buckle panels) to reduce maintenance costs.

For specific design drawings, it is recommended to contact professional architectural firms or aluminum alloy house manufacturers to provide customized designs based on site conditions and functional requirements.
