Air Pump Compressed Air Mobile Toilet
The application of air pump compressed air in mobile toilets mainly falls into two technical types: foam isolation and negative pressure air flushing, achieving efficient cleaning, odor control, and resource recycling through physical means.

1. Foam Isolation Technology: Taking Beijing Mobile Foam Toilet as an Example
The core of this technology is a foaming device driven by a micro air pump. Its working principle is as follows: the air pump vigorously whips a mixture of surfactant and a small amount of water in proportion to generate dense micron-sized foam. These foams have two main functions:
- Physical Isolation and Odor Blocking: The foam covers the surface of feces to form a sealed layer, effectively blocking the transmission path of pathogens while inhibiting the volatilization of odor molecules such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide.
- Resource Recycling Treatment: The collected foam mixture is separated into solid residues through solid-liquid separation technology, and the liquid part can meet discharge standards after microbial degradation, achieving the reuse of water resources and organic matter.
This technology significantly reduces water consumption (only 0.2-0.5 liters per use), making it suitable for water-scarce areas or temporary large-scale event scenarios.
2. Negative Pressure Air Flushing Technology: Taking Beijing Mobile Environmental Protection Public Toilet as an Example
This technology achieves efficient flushing and drainage by creating a negative pressure environment with a small vacuum pump:
- Pressure Difference-Driven Flushing and Drainage: When the user presses the flush button, the vacuum pump generates a negative pressure of 0.6-0.8 atmospheres in the pipeline, using the pressure difference to quickly suck feces and a small amount of flushing liquid (about 1 liter per time) into a closed storage tank, with the entire process taking only 2-3 seconds.
- Closed System for Pollution Prevention: The negative pressure environment is fully enclosed throughout the process, preventing the diffusion of aerosols (containing pathogen particles) during flushing and reducing odor retention. The feces in the storage tank are periodically pumped out for treatment and can be converted into organic fertilizer.
This technology is particularly suitable for areas with high pedestrian density, such as scenic spots and transportation hubs, with a water-saving efficiency more than 80% higher than that of traditional flushing toilets.
3. Extended Application of Pneumatic Water-Saving Toilets
Although not explicitly classified as mobile toilets, pneumatic water-saving toilets adopt a similar principle: an air tank stores compressed air. When the user steps on the pedal, the air tank releases pressure to push waste into the pipeline while triggering the tap switch to spray the bowl wall for cleaning. This design combines pneumatic and hydraulic actions to achieve a water consumption of less than 3 liters per use, with adjustable flushing force, making it suitable for fixed public toilets with strict water-saving requirements.
