Dimensions of Advanced Mobile Toilets

Admin September 22, 2026

The common dimensions of advanced mobile toilets vary based on type and usage scenario, primarily falling into the following three categories:

1. Multi-functional Mobile Restrooms
These toilets are suitable for high-end events or long-term fixed locations, with a design focus on functionality and comfort. Their length ranges from 3.0 to 4.5 meters, width from 2.0 to 2.5 meters, and height from 2.5 to 3.0 meters. The internal space layout must meet ergonomic requirements, such as a minimum width of 0.9 meters for each toilet stall to ensure users can move freely. In terms of material selection, lightweight yet durable fiberglass or aluminum alloy is commonly used, and it must comply with waterproof and moisture-proof standards to adapt to outdoor environments. The design should also refer to the "Urban Public Toilet Design Standard" (CJJ 14-2016) to ensure proper ventilation, lighting, and sanitary facility configuration.

2. Large Box-type Mobile Public Toilets
For high-traffic scenarios (such as large exhibitions and transportation hubs), these toilets increase capacity by expanding their size. Their length can exceed 6 meters, and width 2.5 meters, with multiple independent toilet stalls, barrier-free facilities (such as dedicated rooms for the disabled), and a management room inside. Due to their large size, they require heavy-duty vehicles for overall transportation, and sufficient space must be reserved during installation. The structural design should balance stability and convenience, such as adopting a modular assembly method for quick disassembly and assembly. Additionally, they need to be equipped with an independent water and electricity system, exhaust fans, and lighting equipment to ensure long-term comfort in use.

3. Container Mobile Toilets
Transformed from standard containers, these toilets are suitable for scenarios requiring rapid deployment, such as scenic spots and parks. Their fixed dimensions are 6.5 meters in length, 3.5 meters in width, and 3.1 meters in height, with an internal layout of 6 stalls, 3 urinals, and 2 sinks, capable of meeting the simultaneous needs of multiple users. In terms of configuration, they integrate water and electricity supply systems, exhaust fans, and LED lighting, with some models also equipped with air conditioners or solar panels to adapt to different climatic conditions. The materials are corrosion-resistant steel with anti-rust paint applied on the surface to extend service life. During transportation, they can be directly carried by container trucks, and installation only requires simple fixation before being put into use.

Core Design Principles
Regardless of the type, advanced mobile toilets must adhere to the following standards:

  • Ergonomics: The width of toilet stalls, door frames, and aisles must meet the activity needs of users to avoid cramped spaces;
  • Material Durability: Prioritize lightweight and corrosion-resistant materials (such as fiberglass and aluminum alloy) to reduce transportation costs and enhance service life;
  • Functional Integrity: Configure barrier-free facilities, management rooms, or intelligent systems (such as automatic flushing and air purification) according to the scenario;
  • Compliance: Strictly refer to the "Urban Public Toilet Design Standard" (CJJ 14-2016) to ensure ventilation, lighting, and sanitary indicators meet standards.
