Disassembly Method for Activity House Containers

Admin September 17, 2026

The disassembly of activity house containers should adhere to the principles of safety, orderliness, and recyclability. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Pre-disassembly Preparation

  1. Safety Inspection and Assessment
    • Inspect the structural stability of the house to ensure there is no tilting, corrosion, or deformation (if the corroded area exceeds 30%, reinforcement is required); prepare a specialized safety construction plan and provide technical briefings to the operators.
    • Clear obstacles and flammable/explosive materials from the site, and set up a warning area to ensure a safe working space.
  2. Tool and Protective Equipment Preparation
    • General Tools: Wrenches, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, pliers, rubber mallets, electric screwdrivers, tape measures, etc.
    • Specialized Equipment: Cranes (with a load capacity of ≥5 tons), gas cutting equipment, electric wrenches, protective nets.
    • Personal Protective Equipment: All personnel should be equipped with safety helmets, gloves, and safety shoes; safety harnesses are required for high-altitude work.
  3. Water and Power Disconnection
    • Turn off all water and power lines, and drain any remaining water in the pipes to prevent leaks or electric shocks during disassembly.

II. Main Structure Disassembly Sequence

  1. Roof and Side Panel Removal
    • Remove the roof color steel plates (thickness 0.4-0.6mm) one by one from the outside in to avoid overall collapse; disassemble the side panels in reverse order, retaining the connectors.
  2. Door and Window Removal
    • Use a crowbar to separate the door and window frames from the container body, retaining the hardware (hinges, locks) for reuse.
  3. Container Body Separation
    • For assembled container houses, use a crane to secure the upper layer, remove the corner piece connecting bolts (4-8 M20 bolts per container body), and then lift them to the stacking area.
    • Standard procedure: Wall panels → Roof panels → Purlins → High-strength bolts → Embedded bolts → Embedded steel plates (from top to bottom).
  4. Internal Facility Handling
    • Pipelines: Mark and cut the electrical circuits in the order of live wire, neutral wire, and ground wire; separate the water supply pipes using a hot-melt device.
    • Insulation Layer: Rock wool or polyurethane filling layers should be separately packaged and classified for recycling according to the 'Technical Standard for Construction Waste Disposal'.
    • Floor: When removing floor rubber or composite flooring, retain the integrity of the steel frame for secondary installation.

III. Post-disassembly Sorting and Transportation

  1. Component Sorting
    • Separate metal components (steel, aluminum), insulating materials, and glass to avoid difficulties in recycling due to mixed transportation.
  2. Site Cleanup
    • Check that all foundation embedments (such as anchor bolts) have been removed, backfill the pits, and level the site.
  3. Transportation Regulations
    • No more than 2 standard containers (6-meter规格) should be transported at a time; oversized components require special vehicles (in accordance with Article 54 of the 'Implementation Regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law').

IV. Safety Precautions

  • Environmental Restrictions: Do not operate in strong winds, rain, snow, or other severe weather conditions.
  • Team Collaboration: High-altitude work or heavy lifting requires multiple personnel to cooperate; solo risky operations are strictly prohibited.
  • Waste Disposal: Color steel foam boards must be transported to designated disassembly centers and must not be disassembled on-site.

Note: The entire process must be operated by certified personnel. The disassembly time is approximately 60%-70% of the installation time (e.g., installing a 20㎡ single container house takes 1 day, while disassembly takes about 4-6 hours).
