5X10 Container House
The 5X10 container house is a modular building constructed with materials of specific specifications, primarily used for temporary accommodation on construction sites, featuring environmental friendliness, flexibility, and low cost. The following provides an explanation from three aspects: structural materials, functional characteristics, and application scenarios.

I. Structural Materials and Construction Methods
The framework of the 5X10 container house is formed by welding 5X10 channel steel as the main crossbeams around the top and bottom perimeters, similar to the 'ring beams' of a house, determining its overall sturdiness. Columns with a thickness of no less than 1mm are shaped using professional equipment and, together with the channel steel, support the structure. Square tubes serve as secondary crossbeams connecting the top and bottom and are used for welding door and window frames. Full square tube connections at the bottom enhance stability. The walls are covered with corrugated plates pressed from thin steel sheets over 0.6mm thick, available in black iron or galvanized materials. The wall interiors are filled with rock wool insulation, which must have fire-resistant properties. Alternatively, rock wool sandwich panels with iron sheets on both sides can be used to improve thermal insulation. Flooring materials are flexible; they can be directly walked on or renovated into wooden or tile floors. Windows and doors typically use PVC-steel materials and can be upgraded to broken-bridge aluminum types. Professional welding and cutting equipment are required for construction. Purchasing materials independently can save over 2,000 yuan per unit.
II. Functional Characteristics
This building form is centered around environmental friendliness, flexibility, and low cost as its core advantages. The modular design supports rapid assembly and disassembly, meeting the needs of temporary housing, creative spaces, and post-disaster emergency scenarios. The rock wool insulation and galvanized corrugated plates enhance thermal insulation and moisture resistance, extending the service life. Materials can be recycled, reducing construction waste. Compared to traditional brick-and-mortar structures, it has a shorter construction period and is easier to transport. Additionally, adjusting window and door types (such as broken-bridge aluminum) can optimize living comfort.
III. Application Scenarios
Temporary accommodation on construction sites is its primary use, allowing for quick setup as worker dormitories, offices, or warehouses. In post-disaster emergency scenarios, its standardized modules can be rapidly deployed as temporary shelters. In creative spaces, through exterior modifications and interior renovations, it can be transformed into unique buildings such as cafes or bookstores. Furthermore, its low cost makes it an economical choice for remote areas or short-term projects.
