Admin October 12, 2026

The construction and deployment of 30 mobile public toilets vary across different regions to meet diverse needs.

In Jiang'an District, the sanitation department has added 30 mobile public toilets in the courtyard at No. 27 Lihuangpi Road. This move is mainly aimed at effectively addressing the toilet shortage caused by the surge in tourist numbers during the May Day holiday. These mobile public toilets are well-equipped with convenient facilities. Each toilet cubicle is equipped with foot-flush toilets, coat hooks, safety handrails, and other amenities. Additionally, toilet paper and hand sanitizer are provided free of charge. Their operating hours are uniformly set from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. Furthermore, the sanitation department has also installed 7 toilet direction signs and 5 toilet guide maps in core areas with high foot traffic, such as Bagong House, to help people quickly locate the toilets.

Kashi City plans to complete the construction of 100 mobile prefabricated toilets within three years. Last year, 30 were built, and this year, the construction of public facilities continues with an additional 30 mobile prefabricated municipal public toilets being built. These newly built toilets are mainly located in areas with high foot traffic, such as scenic spots, business districts, and around stations in the urban area. Compared to the past, the newly built toilets have significantly improved ventilation and lighting conditions. They have also added barrier-free access, maternal and child facilities, and children's toilets, fully considering the needs of different groups of people and reflecting a human-centered design concept.

As World Toilet Day on November 19 approaches, the renovation of 30 public toilets in Xuhui District for the elderly and young children as part of the 2025 practical projects for the people has been fully completed, achieving 100% coverage of public toilets eligible for renovation. The renovated public toilets feature numerous thoughtful details for the elderly and young children, such as facilities suitable for their use. At the same time, they have undergone intelligent upgrades and have been integrated into the streetscape, enhancing both their functionality and their harmony with the surrounding environment.
